Export your data to CSV

You can export your data from Edjet LMS to CSV file and then import the data into Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc, or any other application and create basically any custom reports.

You can only export data of the items that you have permission to view or edit.

To export your data to CSV file and download it to your device:

1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
2. Navigate to any page with data table.
3. To specify which data to export, set the data table view:
   • You can load your saved view.
   • To specify the fields you want to include in the export, click view_column Columns in the toolbar and add or remove columns. Order of the columns in your view will specify the order of fields in CSV.
   • If you want to exclude some items from the export, click filter_list Filter in the toolbar.

   • You can also save your view setting for the next time.
4. Disable paging to list all items on one page.
   Learn more about data table settings.
5. Use checkbox above grid to select all items, or item level checkboxes to select items Individually.
6. In the toolbar click unarchive Export.
7. You can change the field delimiter setting.
8. In the toolbar click unarchive Export.

The file is downloaded and saved to your download folder.

Field delimiter

Filed delimiter is a character used to separate individual fields (columns) in the CSV file. Default is the comma, but you can change the character used.

Options:

• Comma (,) // default value
• Semicolon (;)
• Colon (:)
• Tab
• Space
• Other // user defined character

Import the CSV file into your software

Use import dialog in your software and set the import properties according to CSV file format:

• Encoding: UTF-8, LF
• Separator: , (colon)
• Text delimiter: none

Troubleshooting export to CSV

If you have many rows to export (several thousands), select data in smaller ranges (up to 1000 rows) using the filter.
