Create a user group

User groups is powerful and convenient way when managing user permissions. It is recommended to create the groups according to your real organization structure.

User groups can represent:

  • Teams or departments (manufacturing, supply, accounting, management, marketing,...)
  • Branches
  • Shops, separate workplaces
  • External partners
  • Customers

Steps to create a user group:

  1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
  2. In the menu click people Users and then click Groups.
  3. In the toolbar click add New item.
  4. Enter the Name of the group.
  5. In the toolbar click save Save.

Add users to a group

The biggest advantage of the groups is that once the group is assigned to various items using permission, you have no longer manage individual access lists in all those items. You just add the user to the groups he belong to and permissions are automatically granted.

Any user can be a member of the group, regardless of their role - learner, instructor or administrator.

Steps to add users into the group:

  1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
  2. In the menu click people Users and then click Groups.
  3. Find the group and click edit icon edit in the row.
  4. On the Members tab click Add.
  5. To add learners, click Learners tab.
  6. To add administrators click Administrators tab.
  7. Find users in the list and select them using checkbox.
  8. In the toolbar click check_circle Add.
  9. In the toolbar click save Save.
