Change your on premise license

You can change some parameters of your on premise license after the purchase. Changes not listed here are not possible to do with the on premise license.

This applies to the following products:

  • Edjet Training Server - Lifetime on premise license
  • Edjet LMS Server - Lifetime on premise license + optional maintenance plan

Increase the number of users (upgrade)

You can increase the number of users any time (while keeping the same server hostname).

To upgrade your license, please contact Edjet Support.

Exceeding the user limit

If there is more active users than your license allow:

  • the product administration panel is switched to read only mode
  • all users can continue using other parts of the product
  • the warning message "License exceeded" is displayed on all pages

This behavior might be different in various products and versions.

To solve this you must either deactivate some users, or upgrade your license.

Change the hostname

The hostname is a main license restriction. Once the license key is issued, it is encoded into the key. If you move the product installation to a different hostname, the license key will be invalid.

To solve this, we allow you to change the hostname once a year. It require paid maintenance subscription or will be processed as a paid L2 request.

Buy software maintenance subscription

To access new versions of the product, you need to purchase the software maintenance subscription and pay it continuously. Otherwise, you have to buy the new license.
