Copy & paste

You can copy and paste content from editor to editor or from outside sources to the editor.

In order to avoid various formatting issues later when editing the content, it is recommended to paste the text without formatting and add formatting in the editor.

Copy from editor to editor

Copy selected content within the same editor or from one editor to another.

Steps:

1. Select the content you want to copy, or use Ctrl + A to select everything.
2. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C or button Copy in editor toolbar.
3. You can switch to a different editor (to other lesson for example).
4. Click into the content and place a cursor to specify where you want to paste the content.
5. To paste content including formatting, use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V or button Paste in editor toolbar.
6. To paste content without formatting, use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V or button Paste as plain text in editor toolbar.

Copy from editor to editor using HTML source

Copy selected content within the same editor or from one editor to another.

This method will ensure that content is copied without any unwanted changes, with correct markup and custom code, if any.

Steps:

1. Switch to source using Edit HTML source in the editor toolbar.
2. Select the content you want to copy, or use Ctrl + A to select everything.
3. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C to copy the content.
4. Switch to editor where you want to paste.
5. Switch to source using Edit HTML source in the editor toolbar.
6. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V to paste the content.

Copy from other application to editor

You can copy content from a Word document, website or any other application and paste it into the editor.

Steps:

1. Select the content in the other application.
2. Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C.
3. Switch to Edjet LMS visual editor.
4. Click into the content and place a cursor to specify where you want to paste the content.
5. To paste content including formatting, use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V or button Paste in editor toolbar.
6. To paste content without formatting, use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V or button Paste as plain text in editor toolbar.
