Manage custom views

All data tables in Edjet LMS are fully customizable. Learn how you can create your own views and how to save it for later use.

About views

What is saved with the custom view:

• Column visibility, order and sort settings
• Filter conditions

What is not saved with the view:

• Paging conditions
• Horizontal and vertical panel visibility
• Dynamic charts settings

Edjet LMS supports two types of views:

• System views - pre-built views which cannot be customized by you.
  If you need to customize the system views, contact your Edjet LMS Administrator.
• Custom views – your own views you can create and share.
  To share your view with other users contact your Edjet LMS Administrator.

Create and save custom views

If you save a view, it will store a current view settings and you can later load it quickly.

Steps to create a custom view:

1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
2. Navigate to any page with data table.
3. Set your column settings and filter conditions.
4. In the toolbar click save Save view.
5. Enter the Name.
6. To make your view a default view, click Set as default.
   Default view is loaded first when you visit a page.
7. Click OK.

Loading a saved view (switching views)

When you visit a page with data table, a default view is used. You can load any view and switch between them any time.

To switch a view:

1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
2. Navigate to any page with data table.
3. Click View dropdown above the data grid.
4. Click on the name of the view.

Update your saved view

To update your existing custom view:

1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
2. Navigate to any page with data table.
3. You can load any existing view to start with.
4. Set your column settings and filter conditions.
5. In the toolbar click save Save view.
6. Click View dropdown and choose a view you want to update. You can update only your own custom views.
   Important: This view will be overwritten. This action cannot be undone.
7. Click OK.

Delete a custom view

Important: View deletion can't be undone.

To delete your custom view:

1. Sign in to Edjet LMS admin.
2. Navigate to any page with data table.
3. In the toolbar click delete Delete view.
4. Click View dropdown and choose the view you want to delete.
5. Click OK.
6. Click OK again.
